Bondage
Year Group
Who is the Bondage Year Group for?
The Bondage Year Group is an opportunity for all those who want to learn more around bondage, deepen their knowledge and stay involved. You’ll learn from the ground up and develop your skills together in a motivated group of people who also want to keep at it. The training covers three workshops during the year that build on each other.
We start with basic techniques and combine them with improvisation and flow from the beginning, we practice physical use and skilful rope guidance, move on to more complex bondages and finally to the suspension basics. We get to know our own body and the body of our partners, we play with rope in motion – on the floor, within and also out of gravity.
In order to ensure a fairly balanced increase in knowledge, there are the following admission requirements for joining the Year Group:
Part 1:
Single-/Double Column Tie, Wissen über Safety basics am Boden, Seilhandling
The ideal prerequisite is participation in either the workshop “Rope makes Sense” or a “Water”-workshop with Marlen. For people who have not had the opportunity to do so, we offer a pre-workshop to the Year Group that only revolves around the technical requirements concerning bondage. Place and time will be announced.
Part 2:
You should at least know what a Takatekote is and have tied one at least 2-3 times (2 ropes). It is also good to have already learned the basics for suspension. But we will also use this workshop to repeat a lot.
Part 3:
TK and Suspension basics: what is a Tsuriline, how do I attach and secure it, safety for suspensions.
I recommend for all participants of the Bondage Year Group to meet and practice in small groups between workshops. This is how the group is intended – stay tuned, practice, become more and more confident with yourself and the ropes and, of course, be able to use the newly gained knowledge in a satisfying way.
